Synchronization Center
Mission: Manages news coverage of the senior DOD leadership including the Secretary of Defense, the Deputy Secretary of Defense, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; coordinates with senior OSD, JCS, Combatant Commands, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard and National Guard personnel to identify news and information requirements; develops plans for DMA media coverage; formulates internal information queries; and advises senior management on public affairs issues.
