EEO/EO Complaints


WHO CAN FILE AN EEO COMPLAINT?

Applicants, current employees, and former employees who believe that they have been discriminated against at work because of their:

  • Race,Color,

  • Religion,

  • Sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation),

  • National Origin,

  • Age (40 or older),

  • Disability or

  • Genetic information can file a complaint of discrimination.

HOW LONG DOES THE EEO PROCESS TAKE?

The amount of time required to process an EEO complaint can vary from case to case. To see each stage of the EEO process, and the length of time taken for completion of the stage, please refer to the EEO Flowchart.

FILING AN EEO COMPLAINT

If you are an applicant, current employee, or former employee; and you believe that a federal agency has discriminated against you, you have a right to file a complaint within 45 calendar days from the date of the most recent incident.
