About the DMA OIG

Mr. Phillip Brinkley
DMA Inspector General

For decades, Inspectors General (IG) have been the honest brokers within the Department of Defense (DoD), inspecting, auditing, assisting, investigating and providing training in support of DoD missions. The DMA Office of the Inspector General (OIG) maintains these primary IG functions and is an extension of the eyes, ears, voice, and conscience of the Director.

The IG maintains a clear distinction between being an extension of the Director and their sworn duty to serve as fair and impartial fact finders and problem solvers serving military and civilian employees as well as contract employees, family members, and retirees.

The OIG serves as an agent of positive change working with the DMA community to improve its programs and operations in a manner that promotes economy, efficiency, and effectiveness and deters and prevents fraud, waste, and mismanagement. While maintaining independence and impartial perspective, the OIG is committed to maintaining open lines of communication and working closely with DMA individuals, management and staff to accomplish the mission.
